Building a finance bench for DIFC, ADGM and QFC
Finance hiring in the Gulf's regulatory centres — DIFC in Dubai, ADGM in Abu Dhabi, QFC in Qatar, and the wider build-out under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 — doesn't map cleanly onto either a purely Western or purely regional sourcing model.
Senior leadership mandates — CFO, finance director, risk and treasury leadership — tend to draw on candidates with City or Big Four pedigree and a regulatory background that Gulf compliance functions recognise on sight. That's a UK-bench-shaped requirement.
But the same finance build-out also needs volume: quant and risk analysts, chartered accountants, fintech engineers, financial modelling and controllership talent. That's a different hiring problem — more technical depth, more candidates, often a faster and more flexible cost point. India's talent market is built for exactly that.
Treating these as one sourcing problem, rather than two, is why a dual-bench model outperforms a single-market agency on finance mandates specifically. The client gets a genuine choice on every role, not a single default answer dressed up as a recommendation.
